Their expertise enriches the trekking experience, offering insights into Bhutan’s history, flora, and fauna.

Every trek in Bhutan is a a joint effort and every team including the trekkers plays a crucial role in making the trek a memorable and succesful one. While the guide and chef play the lead role in supervising the controling the trekking group, the assistants including the horsemen put on their hands in fetching water, pitching the tents, arranging are readying utensils and helping with readying meals. The chef decides on menus and cooks for the team. The horses or yaks carry the trekking equipments (tents, sleeping bags, utensils and cookwares, gas cylinders and stoves, chairs and tables and other trekking gears) and food supplies.
