So we are back in India now and I wanted to write to you and tell you that we had a truly exceptional time in Bhutan. I know that the kind of trip we were looking for was different from the usual in terms of budget, and the experience we were after, but the plan and the hotels you found us were perfect. Everything worked exceptionally well and we ended up having no problem with anything. We visited Phuentsholing, Thimpu, Punakha/Wangdue and Paro. We did a day trek near Thimpu and the Tigers Nest trek in Paro. We managed to see a lot of the country and really experience it up close, which is precisely the kind of thing we had in mind. Your help with planning and the hotels made this possible, and we could not have done it without your help. We were especially surprised and very pleased with the amount of effort you took to get things planned for us (over 100 emails now :)). We will make very sure to tell everyone we know that is planning a Trip to Bhutan that you guys are just the best. It was great to meet you Bikkee, and we hope to see you both again sometime.

The Saying,”What you put but you get”. That’s exactly what I received. An amazing Journey around Bhutan. My Guide N.B and C.D were very knowledgeable about the local history, religion and the practices. The owners Bikee and Trishna made me feel at home and I never worried about one thing on this trip. The food is amazing and so delicious and walking around I was always greeted by warm smiling face. An experience to be had. The hike to the Tigers nest is a great trek and when you reach the top it is definitely worth the hike. Like so many trails in life. Sometimes it’s a bit struggle but once you’r at the top whatever you went through is worth it to be there.

I recently completed a very delightful trip to Bhutan arranged through Ideal Travel Creations (ITC). I found the ITC people to be excellent in their attention to detail and very thorough in their communications even before I arrived in Bhutan. On my arrival I found the guide and driver waiting for me at the airport, fully prepared to start on our tour right away, both were delightful to deal with, very informative and the driver was very careful on Bhutan’s challenging roads. My digital camera failed me, but the guide loaned me his camera, and after my departure ITC e-mailed all my pictures to me, it was as if I never had a camera problem at all. I have asthma, and so the altitude was a challenge, but the trip had been carefully organized with that in mind, in a way that did not in any way diminish my enjoyment of this most spectacular country. Towards the end of my trip a business emergency arose which required my leaving Bhutan before the planned completion of my itinerary. ITC was very accommodating, and despite very heavy booking schedules on Druk Air I was able to catch an early fight to my destination to deal with the business emergency. I would, without reservation, recommend ITC to anyone planning to visit Bhutan; it is a wonderful place with a very accommodative travel company in ITC.

So nice to have met you. As Teri knows, I have long wished to visit Bhutan as a spiritual pilgrimage to visit the Buddhist temples, dzongs and monasteries. I feel lucky beyond my highest expectations to have had Lobzang as our guide. He has extensive knowledge of Buddhist history and conveys the information in a clear way and with profound insight. Having an excellent guide enhanced this journey beyond measure. We had one trepidation about this trip as we had heard the roads are curvy and even scary with cliff hanging edges.

We were so blessed to have Josh as such an experienced, mindful, cautious driver and we immediately felt safe with his skillful service. We had continuous fascinating conversations with both these two which made our trip extremely enjoyable and unforgettable. We are both pleased beyond measure with our trip here, thanks to them both. Also I have to comment that for 12 days I never heard either of them complain, get annoyed or lose their utmost courtesy towards us.
